    Lock and unlock car sound

    Hi all

When I had my clio. whenever I unlock or locked the car using the keyfob the lights would flash but also you would get an bleep from the car.

Is this possible to do in a astra coupe?

Also on my focus if I forgot to lock the car after a few minues it would automatically lock itself. Is this to also possible on an astra?

    Thanks
    Ric

No not off the factory system you would need an aftermarket siren that is either poss triggered or neg and then wire to to the neg indicator out put from the CDL unit HTH

I can't access youtube at work they insist on blocking sites and running IE6.

If I was to get in contact with totalcloseures.com would he be able to do it?

It's a simple chip siren that sounds almost like the old Clifford arrow siren.

This will do http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-CAR-ALARM-...es_CarParts_SM or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOAD-CAR-ALARM...es_CarParts_SM
the siren has to be two wire not a backup battery setup. It's easy to fit well for me anyway, only thing is when the alarm sounds the chirp siren will sound to but at least you'll know your car when the alarm is sounding HTH

I'd just put it onto the deadlock wire of the car and to earth so it beeps as you lock it

Yep as Autosparks said or you could use the the indicator output on the CDL it's neg output think the colour was white/black from memory but always test,as i said before only problem that i can see with doing it the way that i said,is if you have a factory fit alarm when it sounds it will trigger the chip siren as well but not an issue it will just make a unique sound
