Recommend me a graphics card please!

    Evening all,

Can someone recommend me a decent graphics card please? not too pricey (I don't mind second hand if you see one on ebay )

    PCI express interface

will be used for gaming, but MUST have a hdmi input!

If you need to know anymore, ask, but...

    Recommend away!

The best place to start is to decide what you want it for..

gaming / design (Adobe/Quark etc) / photography / general / watching TV... etc etc etc.

Does noise matter to you ?

How much is not too pricey ?

As you said will be used for gaming but as above best bet is to give a price you can afford then can find you one from there and do you have any preference as in ATI or Nvidia ??

personally I have always liked ATI cards but thats just me :P

i dont know of any cards with HDMi inputs some have HDMi outputs but for inputs you ideally want/need a decent video capture card.

Check out ebuyer for capture cards

    Budget?

I prefer Nvidia cards myself, the drivers are released more often where as DAAMIT usually take longer to release new versions.

Thanks for the replies all, basically, i am in the middle of building a PC, and i'm going to call it (and sell it maybe) a gaming PC. Now, I know I said HDMI input, i did mean output! as I could just buy a vga/dvi adaptor couldn't I?

erm, basically I don't think I wanna spend more than about £80 on one to be honest, as I still have RAM etc to buy, so i'm looking at midmarket options, that can handle games etc well enough...

Both of those options look exactly like what I was after...

Have you used either? any preferences between nvidia and ATi, I think nvidia is more friendly toward my ASUS motherboard! but if the other is better then I have no worries about getting the ATi one.

    Thanks
