    Time for a new system

I've got a lot of ICE stuff left from my old Fiesta that I want to put into my 51 Astra, which currently has a JVC KD-LH40 stereo.

Just wanted to run my plan by the wise and eagle-eyed members of this forum, to see if I've made any glarring errors before I start taking the interior apart!

I'm going to wire in my old Sony 600w amp and 1200w subwoofer, with a power cable from the battery and earth it to the lights.

In the next few months I want to get another amplifier in the boot for some Sony 360w (90w rms) 6x9s which are in my loft. I was thinking 200w, is this about right?

I plan to use a distributor block to split the power cable from the battery, will I need to change the fuse in the cable to a bigger one?

Can I use a distributor block to split the earth cable or will I need to find another earthing point?

Can I use a distributor block to split the remote output cable or is there a better way?

Will I need a power cap?

I think that's all, thank again in advance, I'll be sure to post pictures when it's all done!

    Hi mate,

I would suggest that you'd be alright with running your second amp from the connections on your first amp
Earth - Earth on new amp
    Power - Power
    Remote - Remote
I have run two seperate amps from one set of leads and used two RCA splitters for the RCA cable.

Just make sure your original cables can cope with the strain of two amps...

What sort of specification of cables would I need for two amps?
