X20XEV inlet cam issues and more...........

OK i have a few hicups to say the least this morn.....

yesterday we managed to rebuild the car after doing the stem valve seals...

seems they are fixed which is rather good

BUT now i have a larger problem..

after talking to a very relaiable source on the phone it was suggested that since the XE cam do absolutly sod all for the car that i should return the car to its correct timming marks..

That has been done, car rebuilt and everything plumbed in.. Tested and erm.......

she sounds like a big block shevvy... its misfiring and not right at all..

( please dont suggest fitting the Z20LET cam because i cant find it otherwise i would fit it.. )

now is this because the timming is NOT retarded ONE tooth like it was BEFORE the stem seals? i was advised it will run fine BUT is it ****

second problem is we ONLY TOOK OFF the following: FPR conection to the Boost guage and Colins DV, and under the car the vac box ( 2 pipes ) thats it! Connected up and there is not a sausage hapning with the Colins DV now... nothing! sod all.... Boost gauge sits at -20 as it should then drops back to 0! thts no right and under revving it just WONT dump! BUT will recirc dump....

    HELP!

Im am pretty compitent with this car and the mechanics behind it but this is driving me nucking futs!

Im not looking to buy a cam m8 ( tahnks tho ).. i have one and can get another tomoz morn...

ONLY reason i fit it as i have is because i went on the advise of a very reliable person

the XEV cam can be run on standard timing marks perfectly fine! you retard the cam by a tooth to decrease some valve overlap which is "supposed" to help performance low in the rev range.

My boost gauge sat at 0 when my wastegate was stuck open. Does the turbo chatter at all?

so why the feck is mine running like its misfiring? wont hold idle etc.. its running shite! You rev it and it back fires.

no turbo cahtter.. everything with the tuirbo seems to be fine too.. pre clamp is not fouling the turbo either.

i did brake the front boost solenoid but have replaced that with a new one and still nothing.
