    Ignition barrel jammed.

Ignition barrel is jammed and stearing lock is on. How do i proceed to change barrel. Can not get to screws to remove cowling as stearing wheel is in the way.

how desperate are you, and how do you mean the barrel is jammed? have you WD40'd it etc? Mine did it a few weeks ago and all we did was WD40 it and wiggle the key about. It's been fine since, apparently they like to do this in the hot weather.
if that doesn't work, and you're really desperate, take a hacksaw to the steering wheel. the wheel alone (minus airbag) can be bought for bugger all on ebay, so cutting it to get to screws etc shouldn't be too costly.

I've soaked it with wd40 and the barrel is still jammed. I'm going to leave it for now and try again tomorrow. Cheers.

Spray wd40 on your keyblade and keep inserting it

I was told once by a mechanic to stick the key in the freezer for an hour and then try it... it did actually work for me.

When mine got stuck I also used WD40 didn't work straight away, but a little gentle persuasion with a small hammer tapping it lightly released it, it kept sticking on & off for awhile but a little tap and it released. 1 year on and has not jammed.

if you mean that your key is simply not turning and you cant move the wheel try just jiggling the wheel whilst turning the key, they get stuck on a lot of cars has happened to me in the astra my landy and an mg.

The above worked for me once, wiggle the steering wheel and turn the key. Took a little force but sorted it straight away
