    EMG Light Again...

Ok guys ive tried but failed and tried but failed again so now what about this equation:
Ive put a new crank shaft sensor into my van after speculation of a faulty 1 but that hasnt seemed to solve my emg light problem so could my problem be in the airflow meter???????
I have 4 fault codes when I do my pedal test they are as follows:

    0100
    0110
    1125
    0571

Firstly i understand that both 0100 and 0110 are to do with the airflow meter but what do they actually mean????
Secondly i have read that 1125 is the wastegate regulator valve but where do you find this problem
And finally 0571 is the low input on the brake circuit i know this is at fault because my rear door brake light had blown so i temporarliy took it out for my DOE test (MOT)
So does this mean that all my problems could be down to the airflow meter being at fault or am i on a merry dance ?????
    Thanks in advance J

There is a chance that 1125 could be related to the airflow meter too... Could also be a vacuum line off/damaged somewhere.

I had the code 0100 on after I changed the air filter from a dirty one to a brand new one and I hope is because of the change of air flow.
on the code list I have says

0100- Mass or volume air flow circuit high input
0100- Mass or volume air flow circuit low input

So i just took the battery off for 30-40 mins today to see if it comes again

Could have dislosged it when you changed the filter?

My local diagnostics geezer told me that my on-off P1125 fault (and limp mode at high speed (sometimes)) is most certainly due to a faulty boost pressure solenoid valve.
So i'm going to get that changed and take it from there.

I'm surprised that your change of crankshaft sensor didn't solve your similar problem because a few people on here swear that limp mode issues are down to faulty crankshaft sensors.

Im not sure but im goin to check everythin idividually from now and eliminate everythin slowly to get to the bottom of it and once i do eveybody will know
im just about to change the oil and filter to eliminate that problem and see if it persists then if that doesnt work ill try the solenoids and pressure valves and see if there is any improvement....

I hope so. You are our guinea pig and we are counting on you to fix it and report back
There could be a small prize waiting for you too.

You are the most watched poster on AOC Diesel World right now

if you have unplugged anything your ecu will log a fault ie low input ect so the best bet is after unplugging or plugging anything in you should reset your ecu either with a diagnostics machine of by disconnection of your battery ,fault reset with a diagnostics being the best method in my opinion
    good luck!

Ok lets look at it like this I have the fault codes
    0100
    0110
    1125
    0571

So assuming i disconnect the battery to reset the ECU i should in theory get back the fault coeds when i do 80mph therefore giving me the codes for the fault
I am told by the garage i bought the van from that they put a new AFM into it but can somebody answer this...
I think we know the answer but need confirmation..
'' If there was a fault with the AFM and the garage changed it, WITHOUT disconnecting the battery!, presumably the code would still be there, would it? ''

i think it would be, down to the fact the ecu hasnt therefore been reset but am i right ?
