Recommend me a new sat nav

Looking to get a new sat nav unit very soon.

Had a few Tom Toms now, although they are good I've been looking in to Garmins a bit more.

At the moment it's between the 1390T and the 1490t (slightly larger screen)

Must have euro maps, speed cameras, blue tooth iPhone compatible.

    Any others worth looking at.

I personally hate gamins, i find them hard to read as you drive with them. Lad that works for me has one and he spends more time going the wrong way than right

I have recently undated my Tom tom one to full euro maps, speed cameras and all up to date uk maps, and it's like having new Tom Tom. They offer a good upgrade online service.

    Just some ideas mike.

Can't go wrong with Garmins. Especially the ones you've mentioned.

The new Tom Tom start series and XL2 series are vague and dull setups, can't stand them, they say they have simplified them, but they've made them so boring and plain.

Garmins new software is much more colourful and user friendly. They're miles ahead of TomTom I reckon.

Customer service is better, Easier to update them.

I've always been a Tom Tom man, Found the new IQ Routes and lane visual assist to be a god send sometimes. Though saying that I'm not a huge fan of their iPhone app.
