    Richbrook handbrake covers?

Are these any good, has anyone got one fitted with pics?

Im looking at getting one maybe, pending opinions on them etc, Ive ordered some new leather gaiters, so was going to get one at the same time etc.

    I have one in mine.

    Pros: it looks nice

    cons: sawing off old handbrake
    grubscrews provided are worthless
need to heavily pad up the inside to sit better
need to drill at least 2 holes into standard handbrake and screw in place.
gaitor does not sit as nice as you would hope.

Would i do it again? probably not, I think the standard one with the chrome button looks just as good.

my experience...bought one from a fellow aoc member, and i had no hassle at all, went straight on, hassle was getting off original handbrake cover, which eventually came off (twisted and pulled, didnt cut it) looks good, but i couldnt use the optinal chrome button it came with as it didnt fit over the original, but apart from that was fine

Hummm, cheers guys, slightly strange views on them then?

i did think it would fit straight over the top of the other, as thats how the adverts read etc, i dont mind "improving" it to make it fit right, but if it's a crap fit i would rather not bother, so where can you buy a chrome button from?

    Humm bit stuck here then...

Do the GSi's or any "higher spec" SRI''s/turbos/coupes have a leather hand bake handle etc? as i hate the feel of cheap plastic...

The sri-t here in aus and the convertibles were the only ones here in Aus that came with the chrome button handbrake. Don't think you can just replace the button, but it should only be 4 bolts to undo the handbrake and replace with the new one. seen them on ebay uk go for as low as 15 quid.
