    Anyone had a labral tear of the hip?

    Basically iv had a hip problem for nearly 2 years, been in the forces the has caused massive problems, forces doctors couldn't find what it was, until i got sent to a private hospital, and found this tear!

    i just want to know if anyone else has suffered with this?
    iv been told 3 months off work and then 3 months physio course,
    no driving my car for few weeks gutted,
    got my operation on the 10th september

    This is one thing I suspected I had a short while back but it was never diagnosed. Hip/groin tears can be very hard to pin down it seems. 2 years sounds long. I was pretty debilitated for a few months then had to rest for a few after that. It's been ok for the last 6 weeks or so but isn't perfect. Still twinges in certain positions. Seems to about 95% ok now though thankfully.

    Ye it's forces doctors mate, they couldn't find anything on the MRI scans
