    Manifold

Saw a few weeks ago, i had 2 tiny wee holes on my mainfold. Got a mk4 gsi turbo, with uprated vxr turbo. Will this affect anything? can i get a new manifold or have to take the turbo out and get the manifold welded/patched up?

Im meaning did you change the exhaust manifold when you put the turbo in or did you keep the standard manifold and just change the turbo?

Couldnt tell you mate, i bought the car with the vxr turbo on it. Would this make a difference? the turbo was brand new when it was put on the car, so i would assume it would come with a new manifold?

Well if it is a new manifold then im unsure what the problem is but if its a standard one and i think im right in saying that a vxr turbo runs at a higher psi than the standard gsi one then it might be causing too much pressure out of the exhaust onto the standard manifold maybe? thats if its the standard manifold but if its an uprated one then im unsure...

Correct me if im wrong but thats only what i think it could be

A wee bit of oil was lying on the rocker cover, i noticed when changing the oil. Leaking gasket maybe?

what i thought was, when the manifold was heated up? a bit of oils leaked onto the manifold causing like a hot rock effect? leaving a hole?

Would oil heat up enough to burn into a manifold though? or would it just like dissapear/evaporate or whatever it is that oil does to go from liquid to gas pml
