    Aftermarket cd player

Hi all , i have just fitted an aftermarket cd player to my car but each time i turn the car on and off the cd player settings are forgotten. I think this is because the power lead and and the constant power lead are the wrong way round. Can any one confirm this? If so which wires do i need to swap round, red & yellow? any help much appreciated.
