    Brake Conversion MK5 astra

Ive got a mk5 1.6 astra. Want to uprate the brakes a bit, but was wondering what bigger brakes i can fit.
Its a 4 stud, and ive got 18" alloys on it.
Was wondering if i could buy like mk4 4 stud 308mm brakes and caliper and just do a straight swap ??
    Cheers for help

Are the MK5 discs the same as MK4's then? Didn't think they did 4-stud 308 discs?

There are no 4-stud Vauxhalls out there that come with 4-stud 308mm brakes

What size are the brakes you ahve on there already.... Going by its a Mk5 I would suspect that they will be 4-stud 280mm discs, but then they could be the punny 4-stud 256mm discs.

Depending on what you have will depedn on what you can upgrade to, but either way, you will have to have the discs drilled to a 4-stud pattern if you wish to retain the 4-stud hubs and wheels.

Otherwise you can do a 5-stud conversion.
