What Astra are these clocks from?

For the skim readers, you'll need to read the thread otherwise you'll end up telling me where the first 2 clocks come from & i know the answer already

I'm possibly on the look out for a black set of 140/7k revs clocks.

    I have the following whites...

The originals that came with my car:

Notice the revs going up in single digits. Pretty cack.

Then the ones i changed to:

revs up in double digits etc. Look better.

Well there's the black clocks which are identical to the 2nd pic there - double digits.

What Astra are they from? Engine size/trim level? Or is there not really a hard fast rule?

i'm pretty sure that the black faced ones were fitted to the lower spec models after 2001 when vauxhall changed to the Z series engines, not 100% on that though, but my 51 plate comfort did have them in when i got it,

This car is fitted with a red top
But it goes down when the sun shines

REVS x 1000 were fitted on early models up to the changeover year of MY2000

    REVS x 100 were from 2000 onwards

    all models

obviously depending on 140/160 variants etc

Sounds like this could be right, although it makes me ask the question:

In that case, how come my car, which was registered Sept 2001, came with the x1000 clocks?

Your car maybe a 2000 build though before they changed it, some cars can sit at dealerships for a while before getting sold.

    Perhaps.

When did cruise control come as standard on the 1.8 SRi or did it never? As i don't have it.

Nuisance of being on the crossover border.

I also have the pleasure of paying the higher tax prices -vs- the Y-plated 1.8's
