    Unhappy electric mirriors

    I fitted electric mirrors to my mk4 astra, only the drivers side works, the passengers side works when pluged in to the drivers side plug....

    switch is workin, for the fuse in slot number 41 i dont have wee metal conections for the fuse to sit into, cud this b the problem?

    Not sure on fuse numbers at the moment but if one side works and the other doesn't it's not going to be a fuse

    Have you tested the wiring from the switch when it's switched to the passenger side to see that it works then?

    Well its funny but ive just put electric mirrors on my car aswell and i have the same problem drivers side works but no power at all to passenger side no even for demist, when it stops raining ill look into it and post back.

    Fuse 41 is the heated part of the mirrors.
    Fuse 15 is the mirrors themselves.

    I have had this problem before myself, its due to the body harness not having the cable in it to do the passenger side.

    You can run the cables yourself though, I never did it to mine in the end though.
    I had a 1.6 sxi on a 2003.

    Stupid really, you would have though they would have made the harness all standard

    do i just need to run a power wire down the body harness to the passengers side?

    There's 3 wires for the motor and 2 for the heated part of the mirror but if you have the wiring in the car for the drivers mirror it will be there to the passenger door

    the wiring is there for the passengers side its just there is no power going to the passengers side
