    1.8 getting warm real quick?

After my thermostat went about a month ago, the car seemed to be running fine until around a week ago where it would get up to normal temperature rather quickly, it wouldn't overheart (barely went over 90degrees) yet I could feel the heat outside the car, even though the gauge didn't show it.

Is it normal to get up to temperature after 6 minutes of driving in this weather (not warm or cold) changing gear at around 2k RPM?

I've also noticed I'm suffering from heatsoak alot more (I'm running an open cone induction kit) which I never used to have a problem with. My style of driving or length of trips haven't changed, it just doesn't seem normal!

    Anyone shed any light?

Could just be normal. As long as the gauge isn't flying up i wouldn't worry too much, just keep an eye on it.

Only thing I'm concerned about is I'm able to feel the heat from outside the car when I never used to be able to, I don't mean standing directly next to the bonnet, for example when I get out the car in a tight space I can feel the heat from underneath.

Also the fact that it feels like I'm losing performance as it tends to drag through the rev range and isn't as loud as it used to be

    Good thinking.

That would also explain the heat. lol

No they are fine as I replaced both the front discs and pads 2 days ago, and this was happening before the change, and still is afterwards
