Anyone know how to go about painting these vent surrounds? how do you remove the wheel and the rear of them , the flap part etc?

any help would be great, cheers

the whole back of that bit on the right hand side (the passengers vent surround) should split into two bits. so you can see straight through. Same with the drivers side. they are held together with rivet style fixings (if that makes sense). Basically you will snap a few. The wheel should come out with the back of the vents.

    hope this helps

update, what i did was lifted th cog over the back co it came off the wheel., removed the metal clip under the plasic cog too,

with this i was able to turn the whhel all the way around and mask up alot easier and able to get the paint covered propally

hope this helps anyone planning to do this

if you need any help just let me know
there tricky to do as you have to mask the wheel. but as i showed the whhel can be twisted to the rear so you can get tape in and save getting paint on the shown wheel.

one thing i will say is make sure there well preped as paint will react to the silicone etc on the plastic

if you do yours pop up some pics

i did most of my interior to match the car, easiest way to seperate the heater vents is drill the rivet type fixing so it comes loose, then when refitting them together screw in a little screw in the hole to keep it together, saves masking any thing up.
