    Veccy C Intake Problems.

Ive just come to fit my new intake and on my old intake I have some round electrical part with a wire going towards the back of the engine and a seperate hose going in towards the manifold/heatshield. My veccy c intake does not aquire for these parts/hoses. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you get around it?

sounds to me like you're looking at the wrong side of the airbox... and describing the AFM. you shouldn't be going anywhere near the manifold.

the Vectra intake is just the pipe that goes from the airbox, to the front of the car behind where the grille is with the bonnet closed.

No thats the right piece what your talking about but there is definetly an electronic part coming off my intake. I would get a picture up but my computer wont accept my memory card for some reason.

just ditch the original setup including the shitty exhaust heatshield and the pipe that runs from the heatshield

theres a small vacuum pipe running from the inlet manifold to the original intake so just fit a small self tapper in the end to block it off and tie it out the way somewhere - i used to have it tied up underneath the airbox

fit the new air intake and be done with it.

the original system is shite and needs to just be binned

What about the electronic part, my dad looked at it and told me not to mess with that part as it has something to do with the ecu.
