do u mean "blanking" or "backing"

any chance of a pic of said plate?

what DV we talking about..... aftermarket one for the boost pipe or a re-circulating one that fits inside the turbocharger housing?

    dont use it!!!

it fits in place of the original recirculating valve inside the turbocharger housing - and the idea behind it is that it disables it.

most ppl (and me included) advise u to run this original recirculating valve as normal and then plumb in the aftermarket one and have them both running.

This will give optimised performance and no running problems.

Some ppl fit a 1 way valve into the vacuum line that runs to the recirculating valve (in turbo) which has the same effect as disabling it - but this causes more problems and leads to increased engine stalling.

Better off - just dont touch the front recircuating valve - leave it as it is

just fit this new DV into the boost pipe, run some new silicone from the DV and fit a T piece into the line coming off the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) on the end of the fuel rail.

    DONE!

I have exactly the same kit. I've fitted the plate in place of the recirc and mine runs like a dream. I think it's just a lottery whether your car likes it or not.

If your going to fit it you'll need to cut the short end of an allen key to get in to 1 of the bolts.

Loud enough mate, louder than without the plate anyway.

i would strongly advise u leave the OE valve fitted - in case u get any running problems and need to remove the Forge DV (which u will at some point trust me) then you'll need the OE valve connected as u cant have none running at all.

Save ur time n energy instead of cuttin down allen keys to remove the OE valve and just leave it doing its job.

but then again what do i know
