    side lights on when i hit the brake????

    hey all i have sopme very strange going ons in my car atm. Firstly when i start the car up the brake lights start flashing like im in a dsco or something but this only lasts a couple of minutes. Secondly when i hit the brakes the sidelights come on??? Any ideas would be much appreciated thanks?

    i used to own a citroen berlingo and that had the same issues brake and side lights come on, i traced it to a rear bulb that had blown and then linked itself to the other filament in the same bulb dont know the proper name but kinda duel layer bulb i changed the bulb and the fuse it had blown then it worked properly.
