    P0230 Error Code

After picking the misses up from hospital we was driving home then all of a sudden car lost all throttle response and gradually halted to a stop.

I got out checked oil, water and HG and all was fine, so i got in car and it started up waheyyy, Untill less then 5minutes later just up the road it did it again. But this time didnt want to start, So i rang the inlaw and told him he says it might be my battery () So after waiting 15mins he arrived with some jumper cables and car started, We then went to pick up little one from in-laws as we was set to leave the car wouldnt start again, So again in-law tried to jump start it, no luck.

It would start but we had to throttle it to keep it going or it just cut out and other times wouldnt start at all.

Im at home now and car is still sat at in-laws, i did a pedal test and got a code but forgot to write it down so im gonna take a jog back to get it.

But in the meantime does anyone have an idea what it may be?

EDIT. So i got my code just wondering does it repeat the code just to make sure you got it as mine flashed same code 2 times?

Anyway these are my apparent faults.

P0230 Fuel pump secondary circuit high C-07
P0230 Fuel Pump Relay Open Circuit C-07

    Easy fix??

Judging from the error codes and from the problem you have i would say that either the pump or the relay is bad.

If the pump does not produce the pressure needed in the fuel rail then it could manifest itself as no throttle response.

The car needs a constant pressure in the rail because the amount of fuel injected is determined by how long the injector is opened. The more fuel needed the longer the injector opens. If the pressure is low then there will not be enough fuel injected in the time the injector opens and the engine will be starved of fuel and will not respond properly. It cannot rev the engine as there is no fuel to burn.

But if it is the pump or the relay i dont know... Codes point to both parts so could be either (or both).

Is the fuel pump and circuit all one piece of kit? If so ill just replace it.

I honestly dont know if they are on that particular model.

In my previous vauxhall's the pump has been inside the tank and the relay has been in the fuse box in the car.

Hopefully someone who knows about this exact car can tell you.

You could try to look in the fuse box, if there are relays try pulling them one at a time and see if any connectors are burnt..If not put it back and when you have tried pulling and reinserting all relays see if problem persists.
