    Scratching my car when drying

Hey guys, I've got a problem when drying my car, I seem to scratch it all the while leaving loads of swirls marks. I never used to have this problem as its only started to happen. I've replaced my sponges, towels, etc thinking this was the problem, but had no luck.

Anyone got any ideas as its doing my head in.

Rinse it down using a hose, then wash using two bucket method, then rinse down again with the hose and dried using a microfiber drying towel.

As said, you can't completely avoid them, but can take steps to minimise them. Get a drying towel such as a Sonus Der Wunder, and when drying, spray the wet panel with some meguiars last touch, diluted 1:1 with water, then wipe the towel over. Will make drying easier and, for some reason I still haven't worked out, will reduce the need to wring the towel out.

At a guess, QD reduces the water surface tension so it absorbs into the towel easier, and perhaps means the towel will also hold the water better hence needing less ringing out...just a guess mind!

I know I can't avoid them but sureley it shouldn't look like I've washed my car with a cheese grater after one wash?

Are the swirls still there from when you used your old washing equipment?
