    Fitting New Clocks & Mileage!!

    Hi Guys,
    I need to change my clocks on my astra convertible, but how do i put the original mileage back on to the new clocks? and is this legal?

    Yes, your not reducing the mileage, just setting a new clock set to the original figure. It can be done via opcom. Ehere do you live?

    I live in Cumbria. Been doing some searching around and people are saying you can do it yourself by buying a cheap opcom reader from EBAY?

    Yeah that's true, or just ask somebody from your regional group to do it for you!

    easy enough to do

    as for the legality issue - ppl are quick to jump on the "yes its illegal" bandwagon when - even if ur reducing the mileage etc - its still not illegal, only illegal should u try to sell it on and not inform potential owner of correct mileage

    with opcom though, it takes about 2mins to change the mileage

    just could take a whole day to install the damn software with the attrociously badly translated instructions!!!

    This chap isn't wrong, took me forever to get my opcom installed and working.

    As said opcom can do it no bother. my instructions were very easy to read, got if from easybid2000. only thing was i had to manually install the drivers as the installation instructions were for xp and i was running vista
