tfr..traffic film remover...use it for cleaning really dirty stuff, its usually used for cleaning hgv's,vans etc and is great for destickering, smells like cat pee tho, and is strong, so dilute it ask at local motor factors altho its usually only commercial places and ive only ever seen it in 25 litre cans its great stuff will get out dirt thats been embedded for years especially in the little cracks on vinyl but remember to rinse it off tho if using neat for stubborn bits
in the words of colin mcrae..

What ever you use, dont use white spirit, I've wrecked a spot of my door card from trying to get paint off the plastic. it turned the black in to a white crusty mess.

I would agree with harryastra, use a solution of TFR and water and scrub the dash with a brush or stiff sponge. Then wipe over with a sponge or cloth with clean water to remove all of the remaining dirt and TFR solution. You could use an all purpose cleaner if you wish but I prefer TFR. If the dash is dirty then it needs to be cleaned before applying any type of dressing. After all you wouldn't wax your car without washing it first.
