what do people think of them as a car ??
I will be getting one for a few days/week's when they are fixing my car
pre or facelift?
even tho i build these cars every day i would definitely recommend them - not often i can say that about a model i build.
the +2 model is the one id go for personally - ok ur not in this position i should imagine, then again u might be if its a like for like replacement being a 7 seater
the rear 2 seats however are ludicrously bad and only good for pigmes and tiny kids.
once folded flat however, its a decent boot size
engines are excellent too, especially the derv 1.5 & 2.0 Renault engines. 1.5 K9K engine is a lot better than u would imagine hauling that big beast around, the bigger M1D 2.0 Diesel is a much better proposition however. Both are very good well developed proven engines though...
1.6 & 2.0 Petrol engines also avail, 1.5/1.6 FWD with both 2.0 models either FWD or with the option of 4WD available.
All in all a very good car, the amount of cars we produce on a daily basis is testimony to how good this car really is.
Mitchell had one to go down to Matts car open night thing at Huets. With the 350z engine in the front iirc
It was gash - end of demo
if it had the 350Z engine then it would have been the Murano (more of a top end X5/X6 type competitor)
Geordie bandit if you make these have you seen that black purple pearly colour they do? on the facelifts? Fair play ugly cars, mint colours available. I don't really see the need for a 4x4 version along with FWD either. Its one or the other for me as far as the target market goes.

Back in the Vauxhall fold - Astra Turbo & '82 Merc sadly missed, Two VX220's should keep me happy though
think i described it badly
what i meant was the 2.0 petrol or 2.0 diesel are available as FWD or 4WD
2 seperate models , permanent FWD or permanent 4WD not switchable as it may have sounded with my description
yes i know the colour very well - not sure of the exact name/code but could fine out if u so wish.
The dark metallic red they do on the facelifts is a nice colour too - especially with the privacy glass.
Agree on the Murano one though, bit of a flop in UK markets but quite successful overseas i believe.
The Qashqai is one of the cars that I can't help but like, even though I'm not sure why. We had a poke round one and a test drive a few weeks back after my accident, weighing up the options of getting a new car on finance. That was a 2.0 Derv. I was quite impressed, but ultimately my sensible head kicked in and I decided to buy something with whatever I ended up with from the insurers and not take out finance or anything.
