    Egr valve

How much is a new EGR valve from vauxhall and what is the part number?
Is it worth getting a genuine part or are the replicas just as good? (I ask this because I know how un-reliable EGR valves are on vauxhalls)

Also is it worth removing and cleaning?

Z16XE? Delphi one from eBay is about £65, the cheap ones are (as me and others discovered) not worth saving a few pennies over.

17200272 is the PN for the Z16XE as well as most other models in the Astra G line up

waste of time n money going to Vauxhall, even with trade club discount ur looking at £64.88+VAT

by the time u have the VAT added on youd have been better off ordering one from VPW and having it delivered to your door

The ones VPW (Vauxhall Parts Warehouse) supply are 100% genuine and identical to the one VXL supply...... only difference is it dont have GM on the box!

Heres the baby in question and as already said, dont buy cheap shitty ones!!!!! Especially those from "airflowmetercompany" and the likes on ebay

    good one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-EGR-V...item2eac787963

Just make sure it IS the Z16XE and not the later Twinport Z16XEP you have (Twinport will have an all metal cam cover with no plastic engine cover, Ecotec across the middle on a slide off spark plug/coil pack cover...........Z16XE uses a lift off plastic engine cover either black or black/silver)

    HTH

** oh and always replace is my advice, only had success cleaning 1 out of god knows how many! If u know someone with opcom they can run tests on ur current EGR to measure how well its working....
