    Replacing Astra MK 4 pollen filter

    Greetings to all forum members. I am a newbie who is looking for some guidance on the location and replacement of the pollen filter on a MK4 1.4 16v 2002 make. thanks.

    behind the glove box, remove the 6 screws and pull out glove box, then remove a oblong peice of plastic that has 2 small bolts holding it in place then youll see it.

    If it's of any use to you, i used a 5.5mm socket for the 6 screws.

    The plastic cover was a bit awkward on mine & i ended up getting pissed with it & ragged it off, snapping the top part off. Yours may & probably will come off easier lol

    And my top tip. Put a black binbag over you're carpet to catch all the muck that falls out and to throw it in

    yeap as above,
    but dont forget to unclip the glove box light etc as you remove it

    Best bet to get the top clip is by putting a flat head screw driver in the top bit where the clip is and it will just slide out, did mine the other day
