Depends what you insurance says tbh!

Majority of the time it won't be anything above 1.2, might even get a 1.4 if you are lucky. Most of the time it will depend on the person loaning the car, and what they have available to give you.

I know on some policies you will get like courtesy car + kinda thing which entitles you to a car of similar engine size/spec of your car.

Most of the time you will get something like a Micra or a Corsa.

When my old Megane went into the body shop following a shunt I got a 1.25 Fiesta, not the quickest of things, but being light it was nice and easy to throw around! Shall we say I was getting poorer fuel consumption from that then I did my 1.6 Megane.
Astra sold ... replaced with a Skoda ... soon to be replaced with another Vauxhall

If it's a service courtesy car, peopel seem to forget they are there simply to get you where you need to be... amount of arseholes we got bringing in Touaregs or Scirrocos then kicking off because we were giving them a Polo for the day was unreal. Yes sir, there is another option... it's called the bus now piss off!

If it's insurance work, they generally will try and giove you something like for like... so if you ahve a Zafira and several kids and a dog, a Micra isn't that handy. that said, a mate bumped his Cupra R and ended up intially with a Grand Scenic (points for collness...) then a bloody E class Merc and finally a Panda. Random!
