Well in january i bought my astra coupe turbo. I was searching for months on end trying to find one in europa blue, cream leathers, low miles & unmolested. One came up at a good price & i bought it .
The car had a few small mod's. Cat back system, i grille & had the turbo wheels sprayed black.
I have no pictures when i bought it because of all the snow we had.
Anyways, within a month of ownership i had bought a GSi bumper, opc grille & fitted 8000k h.i.d's.
After i got it back from the paint shop.
Next was to get afew scratches ect tidied up, so the coupe went to the paint shop to have the following:
Both rear 1/4's re-painted.
Depo smoked rear lights fitted.
Rear bumper & irmscher spats (thanks turbochris) re-painted.
& here's the results
I then turned my attention to some engine bay detail. I bought a bailey dv26 dump valve, courtenay sport boost pipes, breather pipe, tx autosport 1.9 cdti pipe set & the cdti airbox with a courtenay panel filter. I then had all my stainless pipes, rocker cover, cam cover & top hat (smoothed) painted black with house of kolor blue flake.
& after again.
Still needs afew finishing touches, but all in good time .
Whilst i had the above done, i also had my bonnet re-painted, wings blended in, mirriors colour coded & my side skirts re-sprayed. Oh & had my seat leon cupra r splitter fitted to the GSi bumper.
I got the car back from paint 2 days before , so i treated her to a bath. I was lucky i had a delivery on saturday otherwise i wouldn't of been showing the car .
Started out with abit of foam.
Then washed her.
Rinsed & dried.
Then the postie arrivied with this .
Then i applied the lime prime & blue valvet followed by some red mist & she was gleeming, Dead pleased with the results from dodo.
Then i attended PVS on the sunday. Just afew snaps.
That's where i'm up to with the coupe since january. Next on the list is new wheels & coilovers (very soon). The only other addition to the coupe was some bosch aero flat balde wipers bought from courtenay sport at PVS, but i didn't bother getting any pictures. Hope you enjoy.
