    brakes help

    hi how big a job is front to rear brake pipes on a mark 4 astra t reg does it involve tank removal ect do you need special tools

    doesnt look a special job - i should be doing mine soon as the engine is out so have improved access so may as well.

    only specialist tools are really the pipe bender (optional - could use ur hands lol) and of course a pipe flaring tool to make the flares on the ends to seal against the brake unions.

    You can get pipe bending tools in 3/18th size, think thats astra size anyway.

    dead easy mate, I changed them on mine. They run down the passenger side and if you use copper pipe its dead easy to bend so you dont need any too for that. There is a join at the front about a foot back from the engine bay where the front to back section starts. Unless the very front bit is corroded then Id just stick with changing that over as the ones that go up to the engine bay are a pain in the arse. When you come to do it have a go at making a few flares first to get them right then give it a shot.
    It would definitely go better with an engine in it
