    unsteady idleing on start up

hi,i dont no if im beeing fussy but when i start my car up from cold it idles faster like it should but the revs dont stay steady, you can slightley see the needle moving up and down.i have done the earth mod using a thicker piece of wire and have changed my plugs to the recommended irridiums.it idles fine once warmed up but it dosnt idle smoothley when warming up and didnt no if its somthing wrong or me just being picky?

When I first start it idles fast at about 1200rpm but after 30 secs or so drops to about 750rpm and sits steady!

So does hit high on fresh start but doesn't fluctuate!

thanks but im not on about it idleing fast as i no its like a choke just warming up but its dosnt sit on 1 reading for example 1000rpm it slightly moves up and down only very slightly say 1mm instead of sitting bang on 1 and staying there.i just wondered if this was normal and me just trying to pick fault or maybe my plugs need gaping correctley?

auto choke. i remember posting about this before, i had to use the manual choke years ago on my mate's old r5 gtt. was a pain in the ass to start but when you got it going.......oh aye

going up and down ever so slightly or hunting isn't a big issue, if it dip's and shudders then maybe. as sri_kev says the plugs could cause it to hunt on idle as this sometimes happens to people running cossies in the zlet engines

it dosnt shudder its more like a very quick missfire but hardly noticable apart from i can just see the needle move the smallest amount.im not sure if its since i fitted the new irridiums?it idles spot on once warmed up and sitting on normal idle.
