to dump or not to dump?

should i be looking at fitting a dump valve to my car? am i just being a child wanting noise when i change gear or will it benifit the car? always been of the opinion that it is good for the turbo reducing stress on it, am i right in thinking this?

you will get mixed replies on this mate people will say that it will lower the cars performance and what not but i run a collins on mine and i love it and the car still performs great, as long as it dont leak then its allll gooood
if your gonna get one go for the collins, dont get a baileys they leak! i also reccomend leaving youe OE valve connected, the DV will be louder without it but its better for the turbo with it and it keeps the turbo spinning better between gears IMO

Just out of curiosity, how would you know if it started to leak?

thats the thing im thinking about is keeping it spinning as it seems to be really laggy between gearchanges, taking a second or 2 to come back onto boost once i have changed gear.

next time your at a rolling road day, when the operator runs your car on the dyno, have a look at the dumpvalve and if its opening up when hes giving it the beans then its leaking. (well not a smiley face if its leaking it would be more a ) lol

i personally have the forge recirc valve fitted with a collins dump valve, and the car runs smooth.
