    Cleaning throttle body

    How easy isit to do? Where is it to on a sri-t? Think mine needs doing?
    Any help will be appreciated

    under the top hat
    dead easy to clean it out
    just remove top hat 4 Bolt's then Clean with carb Cleaner

    no gasket required

    it uses a rubber o-ring and these can really just be re-used

    just remember to remove the TB and dont leave it on the car

    petrol is so much cheaper and better at cutting thru the carbon buildups - soak a cloth in petrol and stuff it down the inlet mani too and clean up whatever build up u can there too.

    follow the air intake in to the engine mate, its at the back in the middle ish

    Thanks bud, would cleaning it with a bit of deisel harm it? I have a gallon at home. How long to do roughly?

    thats the last thing u want

    petrol is best - but if u cant make ur way to a petrol station with a jerry can then maybe u can get to a local car shop and pay about £3 for some carb cleaner

    remember to remove the TB off the car tho as i mentioned above

    once cleaned it should come out like this

    the pic above shows an uprated top hat

    thats irrelevant as the TB is underneath the top hat hence my picture above!!!

    whip off the top hat (youll need to remove the crossover too) if running standard setup then the TB will be revealed underneath

    stop worrying, get out there and take a few bolts off and youll see!
