    slight issue after PVS run :(

    Well after neraly 800 miles last weekend between work and PVS the coupe git home.. but only with a few problems

    fault code 1106... now that usually means MAP sensor.
    replaced and still getting same issue.

    done some digging and the usual list of suspects appear on it..

    BCS front and back,
    MAP sensor,
    EARTH mod on bost wires???? ( see this post )

    Field Remedy: 2006
    Subject: Engine Z20LET - Trouble Code P1106 stored in ECU
    Models: Engines: Option:
    Astra-G 2001...2005,Astra-G Coupe 2001...2005,Astra-G Cabrio 2001...2005,Zafira 2001...2005 Z20LET,Z20LET,Z20LET,Z20LET
    Complaint: MIL telltale illuminates and TC P1106 (boot pressure sensor circuit) is stored in ECU.
    Cause: Poor crimped earth connection in wiring harness fuel injection.
    Production:

    Remedy:
    In case of customer complaint remove the existing earth connection and replace it. Dismantle the wiring harness fuel injection, see picture I.




    Cut out the existing earth connection. Dismantle 4 x earth cable, crimp see picture II, 1 and attach shrink hose, see picture II, 2.

    Note: Use special tool MKM-923-32 for the new crimp connection.




    Use insulating tape to close the wiring harness fuel injection.

    im no sure how u tell if there gubbed tho...

    i have another MAP sensor so ill fire that back on and test on way to work in morn

    being in limp mode sucks tho when it happens... its like having a 1.6 again!

    is the earth mod the same one marti bangs on about lol? if so ill come to u for once dave

    yes thats the one

    it cured a host of rogue fault codes on mine including 0100 0136 0170 1106 so defo worth a punt - half hour of ur time and at least u can rule out that

    i had 1106 when the boost pipe decided it didnt wana stay connected to my car, it kicked the emmissions and traction controll light on, and once refitted the lights went out and the car drives perfect, but the code is still there?

    Ill have a word with my mate at vauxhall, cant remember what he got me to do, something witht he ignition and break pedal. Once that was done i drove 10 miles before the lights turned off. Bobs your uncle....

    Will see if i can get hold of him this aft for you

    Ive had problems using the search before, doesnt always pop up with the right stuff, although you are right its still helpfull to answer someones queastions, that way if they used the search feature theres more of a chance of the search being accurate

    on another note what you gotta do is push the accelerator and brake pedal right down and turn the ignition on and the eml light will flash a series of times (i.e 10 flashes is 0 and 1 flash is 1 etc..) it will then pause and start agin if you have more than 1 code. Also if it just continuously flashes you have no codes stored
