Oil light is burning while level is OK

I have got an opel astra mk5 (2005) with a z19dtj engine. The last few months the yellow oil light it burning sometime while the level is oke. I already updated the software but that didn't help. Does someone have a tip voor this problem?

    Welcome to the site
Possible faulty oil pressure sensor or a short to earth in the wire, it could be the oil pump but this would be unusual in a vehicle of your age. Your english is better than my Dutch which is non existant!

It's a great forum, the last 9 month since I registered here I already found a lot of information.

Does the sensor have an external wire or is completely in the carter from the engine?

isn't the red oil light burning when the oil pump is broken?

Your right it would be a red light for oil pressure, the oil level sensor sits within the sump and if it is defective it is a major job to remove it as you will have to remove the sump to get at it, so it may just be better to check the oil once a week and live with the light comming on from time to time.
