I have seen a boot mounted one that fitted. Someone on here had pics of it, but it was ages ago and I cannot find them anymore. Think it was Mark something or other.

I believe it was one of the Halfords mid/high mount ones. They will even miss the spoiler, if fitted.

I have been meaning to get one myself.

I have the halfords high mount one fitted fine. Took a bit of fiddling but will fit.

Never been fussed with the 'hang off the back' carriers. Seems to involve a lot of fiddling about, and even then never seem that secure.

True Geoff, but the roof mounted ones always say you need two people to operate them properly? Is that the case?

Nope not at all. My setup is dead easy to load/unload single handed... Lift bike up with both hands, steady with one hand whilst you flick up the support, and close the catch, and do up two straps (rims to carrier). It's literally 30secs work

Plus once the bikes are one, the bikes are (key) locked to the bike carrier which in turn is (key) locked to the roof bars which is (key) locked to the car. It's far more secure than an hanging off the car on those nylon webbing jobbies.. both in mounting and theft prevention. If you get the right dealer they'll sort all the locks out to keyed-alike

It's rigid as hell, as anyone who noticed the Pug205 keeping up with us on the last Keilder Ring run
