Exclamation Changing the central locking brain

My locks are still knackered. Vauxhall charged me 80 sheets to tell me that the problem is either a motor or the main brain. (20 fault codes found). I am gonna change the brain and hope for the best - I think it is the brain at fault because when the car is unlocked, the petrol lock sometimes needs forcing and the pin thingy needs a push. Its as if the brin isn't sending enough power or somet - anyway.....ANYONE know how to change the brain (in the driver's footwell I think). Do I need to disconnect the battery or can I just unplug etc. Also, will my current key work with the new brain?
I like to point my rear wiper wash straight out behind to wash the bus behind me - yeyaa!

unplug it, replace and plug back in.

u will need to remove battery from key fob. ( to reset the fob ) then pair it with the locking module.

i done it three times last week

Nice one. But how do you pair it? Do you mean stick the key in, turn to position 2 and press the lock/unlock buttons? If so, my car just does not respond to this action... y reg astra g sri....any ideas?

The unit is a simple unplug and plug in job but it may then need programming to the car for the remotes to work

TBH if it's just the peprol flap motor i'd suspect the problems there as all the doors are wires together so if one doesn't open they will all be the same
