Turbo failure conected to oil used?

I have been thinking about this for a few days and thought I would put it out there.

Out of all the people that have had turbos fail be it standard LET or LEH what oil have you been using up-to the point it failed? And is there any pattern to it?

Maybe if we put a list of turbo owners oil use-age we might be able to see if there is any pattern to it. Just a thought. Might come to nothing though LOL

Mine has been using vaux 10-40 since new and its on 65k now and have never had one fail.

My original turbo died not long after getting the car on about 70k. No idea what oil that had been using.
Since then done 30k on LEH turbo, running 5w-30 for a short while, but nearly all that mileage has been done on 10w-40. GM oil both lots.

Mines is run on 10w/40 as have every one of my previous Zlet/lel/leh's oil changed every 5k or 6months, this car is the first car to have a turbo go, which as previously posted was 380miles after fitting the restrictor bolt.

quite significant i think, any other factors that cause cause that turbo to fail?
