    Mk4 vxr`d

    after swapimg my mk4 astra gsi for a cliosport over a month ago i decieded i wanted another gsi so up went the cliosport for sale and low and behold the boy i swapd cars with got in touch with bad news that he had a crash in another car he owns and could not insure the gsi no more and was looking for a clio again so im doing a deal with the guy to get my old gsi bak

    BUT the gsi z20let now has a z20leh vxr in her tummy ,hes running a 3.5 turbo and fmic just now. but he is not parting with the 3.5 so he going to stick the standard vxr turbo back in and the standard gsi intercooler (will this cause me problems?)

    he is giving me the fmic boxed up but will this not fit the standard turbo because its for a 3.5 turbo? is it just the pipe work thats bigger?

    and how much bhp do u`s think itl have rough wen i get it bak?

    If it's running a remap over stage 1 then i would recommend getting a fmic fitted. i am running stage 1 with standard gsi parts and never had any issues so far. But anything over stage 1 is advised to make upgrades

    Whats a 3.5 turbo?

    If the turbo has a bigger outlet he would only need to change the one hose and fit a reducer before the turbo. That would take the existing pipework size down the the correct ID for the LEH or LET turbo.
    Impossible to say what BHP without a list of mods, and what tuner its mapped by and to what stage?

    I thought that you meant running 3.5 as in a remap. If this is the case the fmic is a must. You will need to clarify this
