    thought on a new car

Thinking of selling my mk4 astra in the summer and buying a 5 door cdti. I know some one selling one in a few months time.

    Will it be faster?

Is 90000 ok because its a diesel?

Its pretty much exacly the same as this.

    Is £4300 a good price, ( 55 plates around 90,000 miles)

And how long roughly do the turbos normally last for?

    Comments are apreiciated.

    Thanks

Whether its faster or not depends on how big the engine was in your mk4

and as far as i know mileage isn't much of an issue if the cars been looked after, and diesels are more robust.

About price and turbo, no clue sorry.

err, i would assume its faster cause i know cdti's can be pretty quick, especially if you DTUK them

What engine is in the MK5? There are lots of CDTI's

    1.9 150bhp,
    1.9 120bhp
    1.7 80 bhp
    1.7 100bhp
    1.3

Any evidence of the power from the map? But if it is 149bhp it should be quicker than your 1.6, lot more torque.

Make sure there's no noises coming from the gearbox at all as there's a fair few failed on the cdti's now
