    Thumbs Up Fitting Walbro To Astra Mk4?

    Right just about to fit my walbro ive brought to the astra, just a wiring question, ive got the old pump out and theres 3 wires coming off it red/blue and black which goes to like a silver valve, the walbro only comes with 2 wires red/black, how do i wire the pump properly.

    anyhelp asap would be great as i need to get the pump bk in so can get to work tonight lol.

    sorted it now, yes it from templetuning on ebay, is easy to fit, the orginal plug fits the walbro, just i didnt look at it 1st and throught it would be different lol.

    did you have to modify the housing? if so how did you do it?

    i will be fitting mine myself but dont really know how to do it, can you give me a brief instruction on how to remove the old one and fit the new one, as it will greatly help

    nope didnt need to modify the housing at all, basically depressure the system by disconnect the fuel pump plug and turning the engine over still it dosnt start, then undo the fuel cap to make sure theres no air in there still, then take the 2 fuel lines off the pump and removed the metal bracket that holds the pump in the tank.

    lift the pump cover up and disconnect the return fuel pipe underneath the cover then press the fuel 3 tabs in the take to remove the pump housing out.

    take the old pump out the housing fitting the new one, its easy but with sum force ull get the walbro to fit in the housing without modifing it, then connect the power plug from the original pump to the walbro and fuel line and refit in reverse order.

    yeah just prise that off with a screwdriver and everything else is under there yes, no problem, everyones gotta help once in a while lol.
