    Centre Caps

    Hey all,

Got the car booked in on friday to have the pentas powdercoated titanium grey.

Been wanting this done for months now and finally got round to it.

Realised that a section of the centre cap is metal so decided to remove these metal parts to have done aswell

What a nightmare, they are glued and had to be prized off, took me an hour to separate them!

Has anyone else had to do this, or did they leave them the original colour?? If they were left the original colour did they look out of place? (considering they are star shaped??)

well the heat they use would melt the plastic, so they must have either removed yours to coat them or just painted them?

Was thinking it would have been a nightmare to match the colour so decided to remove them and have them coated aswell. Do you know if yours were painted then as opposed to coated?

Ah, i see, well i'll get the piccies up on friday.

out of interest (and off topic) how does yours perform with the DTUK ECO 3? was looking at getting one soon, but was wondering if there have been any unwanted effects ie torque steer, going through tyres quicker etc etc?

well i had it rr'd only a week after fitting it and the figures show below,
as far as tyres go, they are going down a little more than average,
fuel consuption is suppose to be better but when you first install it you tend to develop a bit of a lead foot

but performance wise.. what a difference, you press the pedal and when that turbo spools up you just get pushed into the back seat

Love the sound of that mate, tyres i can deal with i suppose. Think this will be the next mod after the wheels

The other option the CRD2 i think it was called @ 240 bhp sounded mental, but just too pricey (for now haha)

lol! what is your car giving out atm? crd2 has 24 different maps i think but 240bhp from standard is a big jump?

Not sure what its putting out at the moment mate.

The seals are away on the injector on cylinder one and i've got a mate sorting it for me on sunday. So once thats sorted its getting RR'd to get a starting figure then the race to 300bhp begins.....
