    New Astra Interior

    Hi,

I have managed to source a 5 door leather interior for my Astra.

However my car does not have seat side airbags and the replacement seats do. Will this be a problem, will the airbag light come on or will it be ok as the connectors won't be there? I presume to get them working id need a tech 2?

    Ask yourself the same question....

If your car has no airbags, then you'll not be connecting the airbag wiring from the new seats to your car, so the car has no idea at all they are even there...

    So no error lights

Sorry qustion wasnt too clear....early on a Monday!!

What i meant to ask is if the wiring is already in place on most Astras, if it is and I connect up will it cause a problem? To be honest I havent checked yet in the car but wanted an idea before I buy the interior.

i dont think it will be there, the wiring on the car for SIAB is quite extencive and there are sensors all over the place, would cost a lot to put it in and not have the air bags.
Astra: Drive it like you stole it.
