    My very first weld attempt...

    Well needed to get the calibra exhaust sorted so had to cut the downpipes off and weld the other set on.

    so i gave it a go myself. I dont like grinders at the best of times anyway and never tried welding at all.

    but here is the result

    have you tryed it to see if its sealed as it doesnt look like it will be lol

    Good on you for trying tho, its the best way to learn to do it.

    it seemed to all be sealed. gropund it back then went back over any holes and then sealant over the top.

    The car still aint running yet still got a few thing to sort out and connect.

    Will find out in a few days if its sealed..... if not back off it comes and try again

    what type of welder were you using mate , on thin rusty stuff like that i find it best to just do a series of small spot welds around it , takes a bit of getting used to does welding but once you can do it it's like riding a bike .....

    im using a clarke MIG 180 .

    i have always watched others do it and now done it myself it will take a bit of getting used to but there aint much to it really just learning how and what it does and how long to keep it there , when to move it etc etc etc....

    always push mig never pull as it doesnt pool or flow good.
