    2.2DTi Vectra C...

    On my search for a replacement for the Coupe, I've turned up a handful of quite nice Vectra C's with the 2.2DTi lump in them. It's the (later)124bhp (206 lb/ft torque) model, but I've my eye on a tuning box that should take that up to 150bhp & 240 lb/ft with a bit of luck

    Anyone any more gen on this engine, reliability/durability/driveability-wise?

    I've worked on a 2.2DTi Vectra, and i found the engine old, rattly and a pain to work on.

    They have the standard EGR Valve problems, the later ones had thicker intercooler pipes as the early one split.
    There's a boost valve that sits near the back of the block, which get's warm and fails. Which drops the car into limp mode.

    The CDTi engines are alot better.
