    Noise and vibration at speed

Just picked up a 2.2 SRi on 70k. When I get up to about 50 m.p.h I start to get a bit of vibration through the pedals and steering wheel, it seems to go about 65 although the road noise may be covering but the vibration seems to go. I don't think it's balancing, the wheels aren't bouncing and if I dip the clutch I still get the same so I don't think it's engine related.

Anyone got any ideas, could it be a wheel bearing ?

Wheel bearing? Check all nuts are tight on wheels. Could be balancing or slightly buckled wheel

depends! if you do it yourself it wont cost much, i had mine done at a local garage, unaware you have to buy a whole hub with mk4 astras, cost me £220 with labour :/ if u can do it yourself you can probly pick up the kit for £70 or so

'Twas indeed a wheel bearing and hub. Had that done and a foglight fitted for £150. Reasonably pleased considering it needs discs and pads soon.
