Had to actually pay to upgrade to this courtesy car!!

Picked up my courtesy car on tuesday after my accident at the weekend. Today's the first day I've had to get some pics.

When I got to the hire place, Enterprise, I was told the insurers grading meant I had a choice of cars, either a Toyota Aigo or a Chevy Spark. Both 3drs and both 1.0's

Having a little 'un, a 3dr wasn't practical, and frankly both cars were a pile of shit even if they were both "10" plates. In the end I paid an extra £1+VAT per day, to upgrade to this...

It's only a 1.2 as well - so hardly an upgrade!!!

Despite being a pokey little engine, it's surprisingly nippy...

No, wait. That's what I wanted to be able to put. It's actually shit. I think it's powered by a hamster in a wheel under the bonnet.

Besides the engine, the rest of the car I'm actually quite impressed with. Build quality seems pretty good, and for a small car it's quite spacious - even if there are very few cubby holes to put things in!

Would I buy one? Certainly not a 1.2. maybe if it were the 1.7 diesel, probably if it were the 1.8 petrol, and definately if it were either the 1.6T SRi or VXR.

its a damn sight slower than my 1.8 coupe, thats for sure. Its not even as quick as the Mrs' 1.5 DCi Clio.

I really can't wait to be offered my settlement figure, that way I can get out and buy a proper car again

not an option. I live on a main trunk road (A47) and have a small child, also I need boot space for work. I'm struggling with the Corsa to be honest, the Aygo was smaller still and had even less power!

1.2 is total pants. I've driven it and never been so frustrated behind the wheel of any car. The 1.3CDTi is really good fun however I just can't get on with the steering in the new Corsa. It's just too light!

I had 2 1.2 Corsa D's when I had a prang in Feb, they were both slow and the tip tronic gearbox was a mare in semi manual mode!
Tell me what you've done, not what you're going to!
