    Annoyed with Churchill!!

Well i decided to phone my insurance company this morning to add my prodrive kit to my policy and the lady on the phone decided to tell me that Churchill dont cover "modifed" cars for under 25's. i politely told her that its a factory option and apparently it still comes under the category of modifications with churchill. off to adrian flux i think!!

    rant over

It is a mod technically given it wasn't on the original car, even adding a spoiler fitted from new but not original to the car is a 'mod'.

AF don't charge for adding mods throughout the policy nor do they charge for 'aesthetic' mods such as bodkykits, alloys etc. which is brilliant

I'll be shopping around though when my current policy is up in August, I reckon I'm paying more than I should given I'm 33, full NCD and only driving a 1.6 16v SXi. Try a few modified car insurers and see what you get back!

There are details in the members discount section I think, but you should be able to tell them about the membership on the phone too.

I'd be bloody happy with that! I'm with Churchill too paying £1017 this year for a 1.6 estate, they said I couldn't do any mods until I was 21 though :S Adrian Flux is gonna be my first call in October though!

£440 FC for my SXi and relevant mods...reckon it should be £100 less to be honest but time will tell!

You'd have to ask them, depends on the wording of your policy.
