    Welcome mate

You'll probably find the sensor is unplugged or needs replacing. This is mounted right at the front of the bumper in the middle of the car

    Hello

i currently have a problem with my MK5 1.7CDTi outside temp display

but i am having a problem locating the sensor

does anyone have a picture of the actual location at the front....do i have to remove anything to get to it?

it is showing a temp of 31c which does change on occasions to 35c but i have never seen a good summer like this .... ever

i just want to re-plug it in before buying a new one.....i just cant see the same thing any photo or something to this would be great

    Cheers

I have a 1.9 cdti 2005 and the sensor can be seen in the lower grille below the front number plate to the right.A round piece of plastic between the slats,I would guess yours is the same.

Hey mate, sounds like your temp sens is probably sitting underneath your radiator I'm thinkin this because I recently had my car re-sprayed and the guy wasnt sure what the temp sens so stuck it under the radiator (out of the way!) and the temp was showing 30+ Open the bonnet, take off the top grill, lean over and you should see the wire, pull it out and it slots into a groove on the back of the bottom grill (middle slat i think).
