    Moving non standard CD player

    Hi

I have an Astra Mk4 and I want to move my cd player from the normal position under the clock to the Empty space just above the ash tray. Does anyone know if the empty box will fit flush at the top and the cd player would sit flush at the bottom?

    Thanks

Pretty sure they are the same size single DIN slots so they should do. I'll let somebody else say for 100% sure.

The slot above the ashtray is the same as the normal place for your CD player. Straight over swap, wires will just need guiding down there and it will fit fine.

my apline has a heat sink on the back which kinda made things tight but after a bit of pushing it fitted night and snug!

the box at the top.. well it kinda fits but iirc the top catches dont latch so it can easily be pulled out

the reason why i cant remember is because i decided to fluch in a touch screen

for me i had to remove the cage thats behind the lower Din slot.

also removing the glove box may help with this as its quite fiddly with the cables

done this today only took 5 mins, took out the lower din comparment with 4 screwdrivers to pull the clips up and it just slots out, removed the HU from the upper din and the wires fed down so easily. only problem i have is the empty top din the compartment thats in there is loose. looks great though and will try and post pics soon
