    Adams Astra SRi-Turbo

    Brought this a little while ago but never made a biog for it so here goes.

    Got it cheap for what i consider is an OK car, needs a little work, but i brought it as a project anyway

    its a 2002 on an 02 plate, 59k miles on the clock, Full service history with 5 stamps in the book and then 5 service reciepts from the previous owners who self serviced.

    The cambelt was replaced around 40k and it had a new turbo fitted on around 51-52k miles.

    forgot to add, when i brought the car it was modded with:

    Front mount intercooler,
    blue/stainless boost pipes with dumpvalve
    blue crossover (dont like it tho!)
    k&n cone filter,
    crappy aerial,
    bk299 alloys
    4inch backbox.

    Gave her a quick wash today and took a drive out to get pics.











    Heres the engine bay, I dont like the crossover/boost pipes and can someone PM me with what my dump valve is

    I added beesons air intake pipe and put the original airbox back on as i'm more of a fan of the oem look, also added the VXR spark plug cover.



    heres the dump valve, please let me know if you know what it is tar,

    Right, ive fitted the JBI boost pipe and top hat and the forge recirc valve, so much better since ive taken the dump valve and shitty boost pipes off, engine bay looks alot better aswell although nowhere near complete, i brought a 2.2 airbox off someone on here but i may have changed my mind on fitting it lol, watch this space




    And the forge is there somewhere! what a dog to fit.

    Right, i brought a full 3 inch scorpion exhaust from a VXR and got the tailpipe welded to suit my car. Was a bitch to get the precat pipe on, the clamp is hard to get right!

    heres a couple of pics of it fitted.






    Also stuck a black crossover on instead of the blue one (if you want the blue one then PM me).

    Right its been a busy week i tell theee!
    first i got the interior from johnny A's coupe and fitted it into my car. i think it suits my car really well
    Fronts out.


    New ones in.

    Rears out, lots of space!


    All done!

    Next up i fitted some smoked front headlights from good old john again!

    Finally i got johns old coilovers and fitted them, the fronts are at the same ride height but with a little camber on them and the rear is decked

    Couple of up to date pics. I will be fitting my irmscher rear lights soon and spraying the alloys a silimar colour i think

    Also got a forge dual piston dump valve which is going on next week

    also got a prosport boost guage to fit and a pillar pod, will update with those pics as and when.

    Little update, started getting a horrible whistling noise on boost which me and a friend believe is an air leek in the boost pipes somehow but they all look fine IF you have any ideas for that then PM me

    ive got a big list of things to get in the next month or 2, at the end of march the car is going off the road for 1 month exactly so i can get as muhc done as i can.

    Still got my irmy lights to fit, and forge dump valve. I decided against the prosport boost guage and ive bought a set of the stepper series guages in smokes white. will get them in at somepoint aswell! Also wana get the front end resprayed if i can afford it.

    Main things are going to happen to the engine (hopefully)

    I want to fit a new turbo and manifold (maybe garratt if i can afford it)
    replace intercooler pipes with samcos and maybe buy a better cooler
    remove aircon rad so i got a bit more space
    remove and respray rocker cover, and replace gasket
    fit a lightend flywheel and uprated clutch
    MAYBE fit the inlet cam and vernier pully
    arp rod bolts
    balencer shaft deletion kit
    vxr injectors and AFM

    Then i'll take the car to reddot and ask for about 300-330bhp will update with each new thing i buy. watch this space!
